Welcome Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians:
It brings me great pleasure to welcome you to Ray Brooks School, home of the Mighty Tigers!  Our goal is to create a community of learners who are academically proficient, effective communicators, and responsible citizens. With your help, we can achieve this goal.

Ray Brooks School’s rigorous curriculum is the foundation that will prepare our students for future endeavors.  When addressing the needs of every student, we must provide effective and appropriate support.  Our administrators, counseling personnel, and teachers are here to meet your child’s needs and support him/her their efforts.

We are here to serve the students and the family and ensure everyone is aware of the mission of this district and our school.  It’s important to stay informed regarding students’ academic growth.  Our teachers are available for conferences before, during their planning periods, and after school.  Active Parent is also an avenue parents and students can stay abreast of students’ progress.

Research clearly supports that when parents, guardians participate and are involved in their child’s education, there is a greater likelihood of academic success for the child.  I look forward to working with you and your child(ren).

Educationally yours,

Wanda Leslie signature

Mrs. Wanda R. Leslie, Principal
